This is my final logo for the Kodak rebrand.
The original logo, looking tired and dated needed updating to bring it in line with its competitors. This logo is based around Kodak’s 1987 logo as I felt that this has been Kodak’s strongest logo. Whilst keeping the original colours which are already associated with Kodak, using a strong solid font and also taking aspects from previous logos has made the new logo very strong and positive.
Researching into the founding of Kodak, the letter ‘K’ was Eastman’s favourite as he believed that it was a ‘strong and incisive sort of letter’, thus in keeping with how the brand should be perceived.
The clever use of arrows with the colour shows that Kodak is using its past successes to create its future.
